We were incredibly proud to host Suffolk’s High Sheriff, Gulshan Kayembe, and more than 120 organisations at KWMCC for the recent Power of Prevention ‘Hackathon’, recently featured by BBC News.

The event brought together charities, grassroots groups and community leaders from across Suffolk to explore how we can better prevent people from falling into the criminal justice and social care systems.

The focus was on early intervention, honest conversations, collaboration and learning from lived experience.

Attendees heard from organisations including Iceni and BME Suffolk Support Group, who are doing vital work supporting families affected by addiction, poverty and disadvantage.

We have previously supported Iceni’s charity through our The Centre of Networking events, helping to raise awareness of the incredible work they do across Suffolk. 

At KWMCC, we believe strongly in providing a welcoming space where meaningful discussions can happen and where organisations can come together to create positive change. It was an honour to host such an impactful and forward-thinking event.
