Headway Suffolk Returns to KWMCC for their 11th Annual Neuro Conference

Last week on Wednesday 13th May, we were delighted to welcome Headway Suffolk back to KWMCC for their annual Neuro Conference.
Now in its 11th year, the Headway Suffolk Neuro Conference continues to bring together leading experts, healthcare professionals and individuals with lived experience to share knowledge and insight into brain injury, stroke and neurological conditions. The event focuses on the latest research, rehabilitation approaches and personal experiences, helping to raise awareness and improve support for those affected.
This year’s conference welcomed approximately 200 attendees and featured a fantastic line-up of guest speakers, including keynote speaker Johnson Beharry VC, who shared his deeply personal experience of sustaining a brain injury during the Iraq War. His presentation was thoughtful, informative and truly inspirational.
Our General Manager, Stuart Lawson, was honoured to meet Johnson Beharry VC during the event and commented on what a privilege it was to host such an important and impactful conference at KWMCC.
Other presenters throughout the day included:
• Professor Roger Blake – Brain Stem Therapy for Parkinson’s Disease
• Chowdhury – Advances in Stroke Treatment
• Chris Palmer – Former Headway Suffolk client and now Senior Social Worker
• Helen Fairweather – Headway Suffolk Services
It was a fantastic event from start to finish and a real credit to everyone involved in organising and delivering the conference.
We are proud to support events that educate, inspire and bring people together, and we look forward to welcoming Headway Suffolk back to KWMCC again in the future.
